A new restaurant with a French cuisine. it's very good and the prices are not too bad. The menu is adventurous, including such things as roasted acamenbert in honey and rabbit chasseur. The flavours are good. Give it a try!
The name has changed to Kalinka Malinka (a Russian Restaurant) and as far as I know this is no longer gay. Please let me know if you have other information.
This is a gay friendly rather than gay restaurant. So you are less likely to find boys here, although I've been here before. It's a popular restaurant offering a good selection of European
(French) and Thai dishes and it's comfortable. It is open in the evenings only. It's not the cheapest but not the most expensive either!
Their motto is "Luxury need not be expensive". This is mainly an upmarket boutique guesthouse with a very nice restaurant attached. I love the great breakfast buffet. This is served from 8 am to 11.30. Then we go here for brunch until 6 pm and a nice dinner until 11 pm. It's a bit on the expensive side but gives you quality for it! They have German owners, so the German food is excellent, (if you like that), and they also do a nice selection of Italian, and Thai (which I love).
They have a nice cocktail list and I'd love to join you for a cocktail there!
On 06/03 Fred added the following entry "I always enjoy a meal here while in Jomptien. Service is relaxed and efficient. The food is of good quality and nicely presented. True, the prices are above average but you get what you pay for. "
This restaurant is just "average". Surrounded by so many nice ones it's a shame as I thought it would be better. The menu looks nice, but the food is ordinary. Shame!
Advetises "The best singer in Pattaya". I can't agree to this, but they are good. They feature everything from opera to jazz while you dine. The food is fine and the prices are right and with the added entertainment this makes this a place not to miss. GOOD!
Nice "upper end" restaurant. It was formerly Flamboyant and has recently been taken over by Helmut from Luxor. he changed the name and if anything made the restaurant better! Very good menu at reasonable prices considering the quality. Not cheap, but good value for what you get.
First 5 star I've given in a long time. This is an amazing place at an unbeatable price. The rooms are really 5 star at prices that are unbeatable. You will have to go a long way to find luxury in rooms like this. Look at their website and see. The small picture here does not do them justice. At 850B a night for the smallest room (which is anything BUT small), to 1250B for the enormous room (140m2) you can not beat this. I could go on and on about this place, but if you want luxury at great rates go here.
This is a strange place. The food is great, the portions are large and the price is good. however the service is weird. Go along and make a decision for yourself!
This bar had a promising start, but alas has not lived up to that promise. The location is wrong (wrong soi) and the place feels soleless. The last manager was the life and the soul of the place but that has changed now. Big shame! They are trying, but are going to have to try harder.
On 29/11/09 Steve wrote:"Stopped here for 10 days and loved it,good price, hotel not yet 100% finished, but good rooms clean, some very nice boys for all tastes. Will be back in new year, told they will have fre sauna for the guests then "
On 27/01/10 Jimy added: "Nicky, I agree, a slow start under first Manager, but disagree, very well run
after he was "broomed" New management staff, good expansion plans with sauna et
al... New, clean reasonable rates for rooms. Friendly staff, new managers on
site daily, not like before. I holiday here from the Philippines, and appreciate
good service, friendly staff, and a very good place to visit...."
Dicks is charming and comfortable. It's a friendly place and does nice food all day. It's open from 10 am to 1 am at night. They serve nice Thai food and Western food for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late night snack. I've had many a nice wine there and they do good cocktails. Worth a try
Have a look at their really very good website here - Dick's Cafe
This hotel (it's not a club) is located right on the beach at Jomtien. Great location. 2000 Baht a night for a nice room with minibar, TV and DVD player. So you can watch all those naughty movies (illegal here) when you bring a boys back to your room! From around 2000 Baht a night to 4000 Baht depending on the room/suite. Only 5 rooms, so it's very "boutique".
Nice website here: Room Club Hotel. This can tell you a lot more about the place than I know. I've never had a bad night there though!
Nice small restaurant on the main Thappraya Road. Does a "Happy Hour" deal from 5 to 6.30 - good menu for 199 Baht. The main menu is good and appetising. Not sure I really like dining at the sid eof a main road but apart from that a nice place.
FANTASTIC place for breakfast. You will often find me here is I can arrange it. Huge English breakfast for not too many Baht. However I have had mixed service and the terrace can be a bit hot. All in all I'd recommend it though for value and food. Lovely meals under 200 Baht.
Nice boutique guesthouse just round the corner from Papa David's. It has 4 rooms and offers a host of facilites. Reasonable priced and supervised by the owner - Mike. Do try it out if you are looking to stay in the area. Well recommended.
