Baan Talay Samran – Cha Am

Baan Talay Samran Estate consists of 39 individual villas and a low-rise condominium building with 40 units, which are situated at a beach location only a few kilometers from the Cha-am main town center. The estate is embraced by a lovely tropical garden and three swimming pools. All units are individually owned. Some owners live there themselves while others rent out their villas and apartments.

Cha-am located only 180 km south of Bangkok and 25 km north of Hua Hin. It is just a two and a half hour’s drive from Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi Airport on the newly upgraded highway.

You transport yourself into a different world of long, often empty, white sandy beaches, great seafood, blue skies & lazy days. Besides the five mile long beach there are six world-class golf courses within half an hour’s reach of the resort. This is definitely the best value choice for your stay in Cha-am!

A friend told us about the place and commented “We’ve been there with gay friends and seen other gay people staying there. The staff are very gay friendly and welcoming. I think a few of the owners are gay.

It’s a lovely escape from Bangkok – just two hours drive. It’s particularly great for Farang taking a Thai boy on a little break as the Thais love Cha am!!! Also easy access to Hua Hin and it’s bars. I would recommend it.”

HUA HIN

The best and most accurate gay guide to Hua Hin is huahingayguide.blog.com. I’d urge anyone interested in visiting the city to look at this site. We have a very nice contact in Hua Hin giving us the lowdown there and I’d like to thank Tim for his help :) He has just sent us this map which we’d like to share:

There are several gay bars all within  an easy radius of each other. Closing times are 2am, bars open about 3pm. Surprisingly all of these bars sold Mont Clair red wine priced between 110-130B. Leo was 60 – 80B. They do not put check-bins on the table these are produced at the end when you pay the bill. The main bar and restaurant area just before the beach has seafood restaurants, lots of small bars and many Italian restaurants. Our correspondent even came across and English run cafe doing fish & chips!

 

Buddy Bar – Hua Hin

Buddy bar is about 100 metres away from Rainbow. We were in there the previous night about 11.30, the only customers and about 5 boys were sitting outside.

 

Chico Bar and Massage – Hua Hin

Chico bar is a 10 minutes tuktuk/motorbike ride away from these bars just on the other side of the railway line. This has only been opened this year, a nice bar run by Thai lads and with a few nice boy waiters. They used to do massage, but currently this is not on offer.

Grass Hopper Massage and Boy Bar – Hua Hin

From a correspondent: Grass Hopper Massage and Boy Bar is a 10 minutes walk away and is owned by a farang and his thai wife.  This has only been open since January, before it was a lady bar and next door was a popular gay bar which closed and the boys persuaded the owners to let it become a gay bar. A long bar with a big screen tv and pool table at the back, clean with a nice bar and 6 friendly boys. There were 5 of us that night with a few other farangs. Upstairs massage is available.

Red Indian Bar – Hua Hin

Red Indian bar is situated in the bar/restaurant  area opposite the Sofitel, I would say it is the oldest as it was there the first time I was in Hua Hin in about 1997. It is owned by a farang (who was not there) and run by a ladyboy mamasan who said he had only been there a couple of months. A small bar with stools and a few chairs inside and out, a cashier and another lad behind the bar and 3 young cute looking boys(a bit fem) age 18 ish who were friendly. We were the only customers on a Friday night at 9.30pm.

The Boy Zone – Udon Thani

Located at 118/5 Phon Phisai Road, near Nong Sim Park and Adulyadej Road, this is a fun place.It’s about a mile out of town, and not too hard to find.

The boys are cute and there’s always something happening.The waiters are friendly and some speak reasonable English. There are frequently sexy/funny shows at the weekends.

Croc’s Nightclub – Udon Thani

Interesting club. Very gay friendly and welcoming. It’s in the Prajak Road near the train station. It has taken over from the other places in Udon as “THE” place for gays to meet. Some really nice boys go there.It’s all about having a seriously good time!
