Sunee Plaza - Beer Bars, Nightclubs, Restaurants and Hotels in Sunee Plaza, Pattaya, Thailand

Don Plaza

Don Plaza

Nice “upmarket” guesthouse in the heart of Sunee Plaza. It’s quite newly renovated and provides great value for money. The rooms are comfortable (I can vouch for that) and the atmosphere is nice. Also has a good dining room in the Clubbing Club giving a good range of dishes. Caters for all tastes.

El Dorado

El DoradoThe El Dorado has a bit of everything. Mainly a guesthouse, it also has a bar and a nice restaurant. They do set price meals and these are good value, and good food. It is owned by Werner who is Swiss and this sets the theme for the place.

Howard’s Guesthouse – Soi VC

This is a place that’s become more of a legend than anything else. Run by Punya (who also runs Sansuk Sauna) it has nice rooms. The rates are reasonable and the place is clean. The lobby has a number of freelance boys who drink there and will make your stay interesting.

Marina Inn

Marina InnThe Marina Inn has been recently renovated. A number of their rooms are now top class and their rates are cheap. They still have some Thai style rooms on the upper floors, mainly used by the Thai boys and their girlfriends who work in the area. The swimming pool is nice, and free to guests. There are two bars and free wifi throughout. With over 100 rooms, there is usually a vacancy of some sort, but the Western standard rooms go quick in the high season.

Po Pot Restaurant & Guesthouse

Po PotNice place. Another guesthouse and restaurant. The restaurant is closed on Wednesdays. There are good meals and the set menu changes daily. The salad and soup bar is adequate. The food has a German theme. Very friendly staff who can not do enough for you. Just outside the Plaza on the Yensabai Road.

RS Rooms for Rent

RS RoomsThe former “Inchat”, has been bought out by new owners and cleaned up. However it’s still Thai style apartments and mainly occupied by Thais. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, it’s just they are very basic. If you like that sort of thing, give them a go.

Sabai House

Two Guys Guesthouse

Two Guys

Great little guesthouse run by John. They only have 8 rooms and are normally fully booked, so if you’re interested book as far in advance as you can. John is very friendly and just a really nice person. If you’re not staying there, pop in for the “all day breakfast”. It’s great value and they have a good menu. The food is well cooked and yummy! What more can I say? This is DEFINITELY a place to add to your list.

Yensabai Condotel

yensabaiAround 400 rooms in a very comfy condotel. All the amities you can imagine.

It has a number of downsides though and I’d be very cautious about booking it. The foyer has recently been renovated, as have the lifts, but the corridors and the upper public areas are dirty.

More important, there’s a continual problem with noise from Sunee Plaza. They currently have around two parties a week with loud live Isaan karaoke. This frequetly goes on until after 2am and makes it almost impossible to sleep. Even with doors shut, the noise still gets in.

If you’re an early sleeper or like quiet, try somewhere else!
