15/02/12 NEW SITE OPEN!
WHOO HOO! After too long a wait, we have finally finished work on Nicky’s final website. www.NickysGayPhuket.com has been completed and PLEASE go along and have a look at it! There’s a special section on Phuket Pride as well as the usual directory listings, a completely new map of the Paradise Complex, and all our usual features. We’re working in conjunction with a nice man at Backstage Purple, who has supplied a lot of the information for the area. Thanks!
So now the Nicky’s sites are complete. We’ve covered Pattaya, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Phuket, with a page on other venues we know about in the rest of Thailand.

01/02/12 I may be a bit late on this one, but T & T VERY late night karaoke has definitely gone. Someone told me “one of its 2 shophouses has now been knocked into the next door open karaoke bar and the main door has also now been bricked up… If T&T comes back it will not be in the same location”. This is not quite the case. There is a new sign there now saying ‘Stor Corner’ and the old illuminated T&T Pub sign has gone, but there is still a karaoke there and according to my friend it’s open from around 8pm to 4am.
21/01/12 The Pattaya Hotmale map for gay venues in Pattaya has been completely updated and reissued. They are being distributed to all the gay venues this week and you can pick up a copy. Alternately you can go here and download and print your very own copy.
18/01/12 Idol Club in Second Road Pattaya, Soi 4, has now opened. A friend of ours went there and reviewed it. You can read what he said about it here.
17/01/12 City Man Club on Walking Street has closed. It’s been replaced by Google Club (written in an almost unreadable type face) and that appears to be girly. If anyone knows different please let me know.
29/12/11 The brand new Baan Souy Resort is now open on Thappraya Soi 15. Our friends at Pattaya Hotmale have been there and written a full report on the venue. You can read it here. We wish the owners all the very best of luck as this is a superb, luxury development.
29/12/11 There’s a new late night disco coming on stream in Pattaya soon. The Idol Club is located off second road on Soi 4. It’s due to open mid Jan. You can read what we say and follow progress here.
28/12/11 There is a new gay late night disco open next door to Alcazar Show Theatre. It’s called the Triangle Super Club and it has received glowing reviews. You can read all about it here!

03/11/11 Pattaya Hotmale in conjunction with Nicky’s Gay Pattaya have produced an A3 sized, double sided glossy map that’s now available in all the gay venues in Pattaya. You will probably want to pick up a copy. But if you’re not in the area, and would like to download a copy, click the two thumbnails below! You can then print them out and make a really handy, pocket sized map that’s absolutely up to date as of 30/09/11.

30/10/11 Froggy’s French Bistro has released it’s November menu and also a special on the 2nd and 3rd only. Take a look at the poster attached and pop along. I’m definitely going for the mussels. Wouldn’t miss that for the world.
14/10/11 Our man in Pattaya has just been to immigration and has personally confirmed the following to us :
“There ARE new rules in place for the Visa regulations in Pattaya, but these are not as restrictive as has been widely reported. I can confirm that for a 90 day renewal you need your passport, a completed form TM47, photocopies of your passport (picture page, visa and TM6 – arrival card) and a simple proof of address. You do not need two copies of anything, proof of address in Thai or photographs of yourself, nor an extra copy of the TM47 form. For a renewal of Visa (such as a retirement Visa), as far as I know the requirements have not changed. I got the list of documents from the office today and it’s the same as always. I must stress these are for a European, applying in Pattaya, today (13th October). The regulations seem to change from office to office and almost from day to day. ”
07/10/11 We’ve heard direct from Jim at Baan Souy that he’s going to have his website ready in a couple of days. We’ll tell you about that when it’s up and running. In the meantime he’s produced a rather lovely poster we’d like to share with you. The place really looks great and we can’t wait for it to open and to get there to review it!

30/09/11 The Club has opened just off 3rd road. A late night Thai disco. We’ve written up what we guess it’s like, but we really need someone to go in, try it and tell us for sure!
27/09/11 There are two new exclusively gay resort style guesthouses opening shortly. 30 room Orpheus House in Thappraya Soi 1 has a planned opening of the end of October. The slightly larger 34 room Baan Souy at the top of the hill in Thappraya Soi 15 is aiming for the beginning of November. We will review both as soon as we can.
25/09/11 Froggy’s French Bistro have released their menu for October. This looks perfectly yummy! I can’t wait till next week to go along and try it.
18/09/11 We’ve just discovered the Canterbury Tales cafe, bookshop and accommodation. They are very gay friendly and serve excellent cheap breakfasts. Their bookshop is interesting and you should check out their accommodation if you want to stay a little away from the main areas. It’s worth a look!
17/09/11 Pattaya Players have put out a call for the open audition for their Panto, Cinderella. It will be on Tuesday, 4 October at 6.30pm at the Eastern Grand Palace Hotel. 16/09/11 The Dusit D2 Baraquda in Second Road, Pattaya has launched it’s new “Hi Hanoi” dining menu. The Vietnamese cuisine is served at their S.E.A. restaurant and is prepared by the talented chef Chetta. The promotion runs from the 1st to the 31st October, with a gala dinner on the 29th. Our reviewer had the chance of going to a “launch” dinner and can confirm the food is wonderful. The flavours are exquisite and very unusual. If you’re curious about Vietnamese high quality cuisine, then take the opportunity to sample. Our partner website Pattaya Hotmale will be featuring a story about this press dinner. Check it out.

12/08/11 T&T disco had problems last year with the police and late night noise. I had heard they were closed for a few days and then opened again. Now I have been told that they are open as a bar, but the disco/karaoke side is closed. I’d appreciate if anyone can confirm the status of this place.
09/08/11 We have the news now from the Immigration Office that there are new regulations for people wanting to make 90 day reports. Instead of just the simple form, you now need the following:
Proof of your address (utility bill, copy of lease etc)
Photocopies of all the relevant pages of your passport (picture page, visa, entry stamp, departure card, etc)
This is immediate in the Pattaya Office – we know people who have been there today and had to show this.
07/07/11 OK we may have missed this one as it’s been open since March! Froggy’s French Bistro in North Pattaya is gay-owned, gay-friendly and wants to welcome you. We’ve just found it and it’s wonderful. You can read what our reviewer thought here.

01/01/11 G-U-Y has opened on Walking street. it appears to be a cross between a beer bar (early in the evening), gogo bar (later on) and occasionally a showbar. it’s run by the same crew as Wild West Boys in Boyztown.
