WHOO HOO! After too long a wait, we have finally finished work on Nicky’s final website. www.NickysGayPhuket.com has been completed and PLEASE go along and have a look at it! There’s a special section on Phuket Pride as well as the usual directory listings, a completely new map of the Paradise Complex, and all our usual features. We’re working in conjunction with a nice man at Backstage Purple, who has supplied a lot of the information for the area. Thanks!
So now the Nicky’s sites are complete. We’ve covered Pattaya, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Phuket, with a page on other venues we know about in the rest of Thailand.

13/02/12 It had been reported to us that Night Boys in the back of Soi Anuman Ratchathon (off Soi Thantawan, off Surawong) had moved. We’ve been the area and can confirm it’s no longer where it was, but it does appear to have gone. We can’t find the new location. if anyone can tell us where it is, we’d love to visit and put it back on the map!
09/02/12 Fan Club Massage in Soi Convent, Bangkok has just issued its latest newsletter. They are now boasting two VIP rooms with flat screen TVs and DVD players. They also have what they call their “Secret Salon” where you can make an appointment with their hair stylist, Nub. They have added some new boys and now claim to have over 60. This surely makes it a place to try out?

18/01/12 We have heard the following about the Scorpion Bar in Soi Twilight in Bangkok. “Hi Nicky, Just wanted to let you know that Blue Man Bar in Soi Twilight has been taken over by the owner of Scorpions next door in Soi Twilight – the two bars have combined to become one under the Scorpions name. I visit this bar very often, as the staff are very friendly, and the owner takes a lot of pride in his bar. ”
11/01/12 Contrary to what we were told before, Apsara Massage on Silom is NOT closed! Apologies for confusing people there. However Souvlaki Restaurant in Silom Soi 4 is definitely closed. It’s forecourt is being used by Telephone Pub as extra seating.

03/01/12 I’ve had a note from a friend about Aqua Spa Club in Bangkok. He says “Hi Nicky, just to update the records… Aqua Spa has no longer steam or dry sauna service available. I’ve been there today.” I really appreciate anyone giving me updates to any of the venues on my sites. It’s impossible for me to keep them all up to date and I appreciate the help.
29/12/11 There’s a new sauna opening in Bangkok. Called Bangkok 10, it has it’s Grand Opening on the 31st. It’s actually been open since the 16th, having had to postpone several times due to the floods. It boasts 4 storeys and 8,000 sq feet of “the most interesting & playful spaces for all your fantasies & sensual satisfactions.” You can read about it on their website here. The address is 650-652 Si-Pra-Ya Road. Because of its location, it’s not covered on Nicky’s Gay Bangkok, which doesn’t cover the Thanon Si Phraya area.

11/11/11 Bas Living Room Bar in Silom Soi 4 has just had a major refit. It’s looking even more trendy and is the perfect place to go. Advertised as one of the hidden gems of Bangkok, we’ll try and “unhide” it!

We have walked past and looked in, but have yet to try their service. If you go there, please let us know what the new place is like. 11/08/11 Not a gay piece of news, but this may be of interest to anyone living in or visiting Bangkok:
An extension to the BTS train service from On Nut station to Soi Bearing in Samut Prakan will open as scheduled Friday, Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday.
The service will be free for five months. From January 2nd a Bt15 fee will be collected for the entire 5.25 kilometres covering five stations, on top of fees collected from the original BTS route.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration covered the Bt50 billion construction cost for the pillars as well as most of the operational service to keep the flat Bt15 rate.
The new stations, from On Nut to Soi Bearing, are – Bang Chak, Punna Withee, Udomsuk, Bang Na, and terminal station Soi Bearing, between Soi Sukhumvit 105 and 107.

14/07/11 Sanctuary Spa, Soi Pluk Chit 1, Bangkok, is closed for renovations until October according to a reader. We will visit soon and try to find out when it will be open again.

06/07/11 The old Lertros restaurant in Silom Soi 4 (Bangkok) has re-opened its terrace. Now trading as BB House, they offer Bar B Cue pork or steak dinners for under 200B. 05/07/11 The former @Richards in Silom Soi 2/1 Bangkok is about to open tomorrow (6th). The new owner is a nice Thai man called Bird and he is going to have a Bavarian Beer Bar theme. The new name will be @Diamond. We visited them today and they will have to motor on to get it ready for opening. As soon as there is more news we will update you.

28/05/11 @ Richard’s Pub in Silom Soi 2/1 (Bangkok) is closing. After 5 years of trading and a lot of rumours, we can confirm @ Richard’s is closing today. This is their last day of trading. It is thought the property is being redeveloped and will not re-open as a gay venue.
